About Me
Hi, I'm Kris Arana.
My career began in hospitals, providing care for children and teens as well as pre and postnatal support for mothers. I moved to Gainesville in 2015, continued my work at the Florida Recovery Center, and later opened Awakening the Heart Therapy.
I have a deep passion for working with addiction and the way it moves through families. Recovery isn't just possible — I've seen it happen, professionally and personally, and I believe you can get there too. I have a particular interest in working with women and individuals navigating substance abuse– either their own, or that of a loved one.
My approach is built on one core belief: you don't have to keep surviving. With the right support, you can learn the skills to fully live your life — free from the fear, shame, and guilt that may be keeping you stuck.
